Description

This exceptionally well-made vintage solid-brass sailboat sculpture has considerably more presence than the lightweight nautical ornaments commonly encountered. Substantial for its compact size, it features thick cast-brass construction, a beautifully formed hull and two clean, sweeping sails.

The restrained modernist design gives the sculpture a smart architectural quality. Its warm brass finish and strong silhouette make it particularly effective as a display piece for a desk, bookshelf, mantel, coastal interior or nautical collection.

Weighing approximately 387 grams and standing 21 centimetres high, it feels solid and beautifully balanced. Its quality is evident in the weight, thickness of the brass, clean casting and elegant proportions.
