Description
An antique dark green glass bottle with a plain cylindrical body, rounded shoulders, a long neck and a substantial neck finish. Commonly described as black glass, its dark appearance reveals olive-green tones where light passes through.
Believed to date to the nineteenth-century colonial period. Its form is consistent with wine or spirit bottles, although the maker, exact date, country of manufacture and original contents have not been established.
The plain form, dark glass and aged surface make it an appealing addition to a bottle collection or period display. This listing is for one bottle only: bottle No. 4. Photographs showing two views depict the same bottle.
