Description
Antique sterling silver caddy spoon featuring a woman in Dutch-style dress above a broad oval bowl embossed with a boating scene. The detailed figure, scrolling junction and miniature scene make this an appealing piece for a spoon collection or decorative silver display.
The bowl bears the B.H.M sponsor’s mark for Berthold Hermann Muller, the 925 sterling standard, a London import mark and the date letter u for 1915. The date refers to its London import hallmarking. The original manufacturer and country of manufacture are not identified.

About the B.H.M mark
Berthold Hermann Muller was a London-based importer of continental silver. His sponsor’s mark appears on decorative silver imported into Britain, including pieces with historical and Dutch-style subjects. On this spoon, the B.H.M mark identifies the sponsor rather than establishing the name of the original manufacturing silversmith.
Australia-wide postage is included in the price. International buyers: please request an insured shipping quote before purchasing. Applicable import duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.
