Vintage Australian Studio Pottery Vase
An attractive small Australian studio pottery vase featuring a rounded ovoid form and hand-painted abstract decoration in cobalt blue, turquoise and white.
The vase is decorated with repeated circular motifs formed from layered blue brushwork, turquoise centres and fine white painted accents. These lively abstract designs stand out against the softly speckled white-glazed body and give the vase a distinctive late-20th-century decorative appearance.
Its compact, well-balanced form has a narrow circular opening, gently rounded shoulders and a tapering body. It would suit a collection of Australian studio pottery or provide a colourful decorative accent for a shelf, cabinet or small table.
