Royal Doulton Snowy Owl Figurine for Whyte & Mackay, Signed John G. Tongue, 1984

This striking vintage Royal Doulton Snowy Owl figurine was produced for Whyte & Mackay in 1984 and bears the name of modeller John G. Tongue on the underside.

The snowy owl is depicted standing upright upon a textured green rocky base. Its predominantly white plumage is enhanced by finely modelled feather detail, subtle grey and black hand-painted markings, and expressive, amber-coloured eyes.

The underside carries the Royal Doulton and Whyte & Mackay markings, together with John G. Tongue’s name and the date 1984. These original markings help identify the maker, modeller and period of production.

With its lifelike character and strong decorative presence, this figurine will appeal to collectors of Royal Doulton, British ceramics, owl figures and vintage wildlife ornaments.

Very good vintage condition. The figurine presents beautifully, with clear feather detailing and attractive hand-painted decoration. No chips, cracks or repairs have been observed.
