Royal Copenhagen porcelain Boxer puppy figurine, Model 3169, designed by Theodor Madsen.
This expressive Danish porcelain puppy is modelled in a seated pose with a tilted head, wrinkled face and softly shaded beige and dark brown decoration. The characterful pose and naturalistic modelling are typical of Royal Copenhagen’s popular animal figurines.
Model 3169 is identified in specialist Danish references as a Boxer puppy, although examples are also sometimes described on the secondary market as pug puppies.
