Description

A cast bronze figure of a curly-haired child playing a pair of cymbals, mounted on a circular green onyx base. One arm is raised above the head and one leg is lifted, giving the figure a lively dancing pose. The metal has a warm golden-brown surface with darker areas, contrasting with the veined stone base.

The curled hair, animated stance and patterned waist covering give this small figure character from several angles. Its musical subject and contrasting metal and stone make it an appealing display piece for a mantel, bookshelf or cabinet, particularly for someone collecting figural metalware or musical subjects.
