Lindsay Womersley (Australian 1941-)Bio

Lindsay Womersley was born in Melbourne in 1941 and graduated from Swinburne College Lindsay is a qualified art teacher and has been painting and teaching for around 30 years Lindsay’s home & studio is at Point Lonsdale where he gains inspiration for many paintings including marina’s with reflections of boats, sandbars and coastal scenes his enthusiasm for historical & heritage buildings and the Australian landscape see him travelling on extensive Outback trips His love & understanding for his subjects is evident in the fine draughtsman ship shown in his paintings well known in the Bendigo, Maldon areas and the Geelong-Otway Region Lindsay is possibly best known for his outstanding water colours Lyndsay Womersley’s reputation as an artist has grown since 1980, having staged many successful solo and group exhibitions and his work is exhibited in many private and public collections  both in Australia and overseas
