Bio

Mandy Martin (Australian 1952-)

Mandy Martin was born in Adelaide 1952. She started her art studies in the South Australian School Of Art and has been working with a number of mediums for many years.

Martin was a lecturer at the School of Art, Australian National University between 1978 – 2003, In 1993 The Australian Opera had a work commissioned by Mandy (When Will You Dawn To End My Night) to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the opera. Later In 2003 she became a fellow at the Australian National University between 2003-06. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University Canberra

She has held exhibitions around the world including Italy, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, France, United States & Mexico, In the USA she is represented in the Guggenheim Museum New York; the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the Nevada Museum of Art & Reno.
