Pauline Stewart (Australian 1936-) Bio
Pauline Stewart born in Melbourne Victoria is a realist artist of landscapes, seascapes, still life and florals Pauline is acknowledged for her romantic landscapes and her passion of the Australian bush scene painting in both watercolour and oil Pauline studied oil painting at Box Hill Art Society 1967-1968 Victorian Artists Society 1969-1974 Dudley Drew 1974-1979 Mixed Media Victorian Artists Society 1983-1984 Watercolour with David Taylor 1986-1988 Workshop with Robert Wade and Joseph Zbukbic 1991-1993 Ron Muller 2005-2006 Pauline is a member of The Watercolour Society of Australia Sherbrooke Art Society Doncaster and Templestowe Art Society Australian Society of Miniature art Inc and a signatory member of Australian Guild of Realist Artists founding member of Kaleidoscope Art Group She has held 19 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows Since studying drawing at RMIT in her teens she has opened and judged art exhibitions in Victoria and has demonstrated her talent to many art groups and mentored and encouraged young children in schools throughout Australia Pauline has been represented in many publications including articles for Australian Artist Magazine in 2007 and 2010 Pauline’s paintings have featured in a calendar by Alpha Printing Company since 1997 Her bibliography can be found in third edition of Australian Artists Today Artists and Galleries of Australia and New Zealand and Women Artists of Australia Pauline is represented in galleries and in private corporate and in municipal collections throughout Victoria Her paintings are sought by national and international art collectors She has demonstrated at Camberwell Art Show and many prestigious art appreciation groups
