Wykeham Perry (1936 – ) Bio
a predominantly self-taught artist drawing his influence from artists like Arthur Streeton, Elioth Gruner, Robert Johnson and Rubery Bennett. Wykeham is an exhibiting member of the Victorian Artists Society, and a member of the Australian Guild Of Realist Artists He is regularly invited to judge at art shows and to give oil painting demonstrations.
Between 1972 and 2003 he won first prize in practically every major Australian Realist Art Show, including the Wangaratta, Corio, Marysville, Mansfield and Alexander Rotary, Oakleigh City, Camberwell Rotary, Knox City, and Kew Rotary Awards.
His works were included in a book published by the Australian Rotary Society, featuring 70 living Australian realist artists. Since 1980 his paintings have regularly been reproduced on corporate art calendars and greetings cards. Works are held in many private collections in Australia and overseas
