Born in Victoria in 1917 Fred Klix studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology A member of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts and the Australian Guild of Realist artists he is best known for his paintings of the Flinders Ranges During a period as art director for Rigby he published two books on the Flinders Ranges
