Biography: Greg Daly

Greg Daly is a celebrated ceramic artist renowned for his exceptional mastery of glaze effects. His creations are featured in 24 international book publications and are held in 80 national and international art galleries and museums, including the National Gallery of Australia and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Daly has received 36 national and international awards and authored three authoritative books on glazes, underscoring his profound influence in the world of ceramics.

With a career spanning over 100 solo exhibitions and participation in more than 250 national and international group exhibitions, Daly’s impact on the ceramics field is immense. 

He served as President of Craft Australia from 1992 to 1995 and received an ARC grant in 1999 to research firing cycles in the development of copper red glazes. In 2019, Daly was shortlisted for the Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award at the Shepparton Art Museum.
