Bio Alan Maas (Australian Maryborough 1930-)
Alan Maas was born in Maryborough in 1930 and studied art at RMIT in the 1950’s with watercolor, commercial art and silk screen printing he also studied with artist Geoff Stock of Maldon, where he furthered his watercolor, oils and acrylic painting skills. Later he spent time with Rod Leonard’s art group at Maryborough Creative Arts Centre
MEDIA
Alan now works from home and on location, mainly in oils and watercolors. His subjects range from landscapes, buildings and rural farm scenes, with occasional still life and flowers he also has painted a wide range of railway steam engines at work on the various Rail lines such as the Maryborough Railway Station.
Exhibitions
Alan has exhibited at the Camberwell Gallery and the Central Victorian region in the Agricultural, Rotary and other art shows and recently, a successful solo exhibition at the Railways Gallery in Maryborough
Condition
