Peter Smales (Australian 1958-) Bio
Peter Smales was born in London in 1958 and arrived in Australia in 1966. He started painting from a very early age and received encouragement from artists like C.Dudley Wood and Sir William Dargie to continue painting, he studied and trained under Alan Martin and Ron Crawford, Both teachers where former students of Max Meldrum who taught the style and technique of tonal realism, thus giving that knowledge to peter, he has held exhibitions all of Australia and England and his works are held by galleries and collections across that world.
