Joseph Zbukvic (Europe Australian 1952-) Bio

Joseph Zbukvic was born in Zagreb in Europe Joseph from early childhood was fond of art but was sent to a Pedagogical University where he studied languages The Zbukvic family moved to Australia where a few years later the name of Joseph Zbukvic became famous exhibiting his works all around the world and frequently holding master classes plus teaching in many art schools in Europe and North America Joseph quickly became one of Australian best watercolourists and is a leading master of his time in watercolour painting and techniques His impressive achievements and enormous success are due to his ability to transform any subject into visual poetic language covering an infinite variety of subjects his sensitive lyrical and atmospheric paintings have captured people and galleries from all around the world Joseph was honoured as being one of 6 judges in the prestigious Shenzhen Watercolour Biennial Shenzhen China This exhibition attracts the world’s best watercolourists he has won more than 200 international awards with over 40 solo exhibitions in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, London and San Antonio
