Description
An antique dark olive-green glass bottle with a cylindrical body, sloping shoulders and a substantial neck finish. The glass appears almost black in ordinary light, revealing its olive-green colour where light passes through.
Believed to date to the nineteenth century, within the colonial-to-late-Victorian period. Its shape is consistent with wine or spirit bottles, although the maker, exact date, country of manufacture and original contents have not been established.
The dark glass, substantial form and visible surface character make it an appealing display piece for a bottle collection or period interior. This listing is for one bottle only: bottle No. 1.
