Bio

Wim Kortland (1923-Holland Australian) was an Australian Painter born in Holland in 1923 studied at the academy of Fine Arts Rotterdam and at age 37 came to Australia, Wim fell in love with the Australian bush landscape on sight and set to work painting scenes along the Goulburn Valley and the Yarra Valley.
Wim Kortland has won many awards and has had several one man shows in Victoria.
His Fine landscapes sensitive seascapes and watercolors painted on location capture the authentic colors and feel of the early mornings & changing light and shadow of the day

His has works represented in private and institutional collections in many overseas countries as well as throughout Australia including the library of the University Of Adelaide.
