He works on glazes and glaze chemistry which takes up a majority of his time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But that doesn\u2019t mean you don\u2019t try and learn new things, which is why he has decided to learn how to throw on the wheel!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most important thing that we focused on in this video was to make sure we get the clay wedged properly so that there are no air bubbles that can cause problems when throwing this small cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Splitting the clay up into quarters, allows you to wedge the clay in small portions before adding it to a larger piece which can be a little difficult to handle, especially when it gets heavy, which this was weighing in at 2.8 kg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After getting it all wedged, we then placed it on the wheel head and began the throwing process which ended up being a huge success<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Teaching dad how to wheel throw!!
