(Caption in comments \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f) #pottery #potterywheel #diy #clay\" width=\"580\" height=\"326\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iAibF9U47Bs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I did the form of this one with a potters bump to get a nice and consistent look to the piece&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is also using the white reclaim clay that we use for hand building so wedging was key before throwing the ball of clay on the wheel head&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few extra tips I couldn\u2019t fit into the video<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1: Wobbly tops can be either a slightly off centre bit of clay but it can also be \u201cclay\u201d related, if the clay has a kink or imperfection in its texture that can throw the wall off when pulling up the walls of the pot&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, this is something not to worry about too much as most potters will do this as a every day routine&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2: Potters Bumps are basically hard sponges on the end of a stick, see you can even make your own or try and find one at your local Pottery store<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3: Clay wall consistency is key for when you\u2019re using a Potters bump, due to the fact that you can pull the wall more in some areas, then others, if the thickness of the wall is not uniform. Potters bumps are great, but can very easily ruin your pot if the walls are not right, so take care of your wall thickness&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As always hope you enjoyed this post and Happy
