You can also pinch the edges of the clay coil to the wall using a wooden tool (like a wooden thumb) this a very similar technique to coil building&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another good idea is to let your thrown pot rest for about 10 minuets before adding the coil. This a will allow the wall to harden a little ad give it enough strength to hold up the extra weight<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now when it comes to drying, definitely do this as slow as possible, use a plastic bag to slow the drying time down as much as you can, this will allow the moisture to even out in the whole piece and minimise the risk of cracking, especially with the variations of thickness in the clay walls&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any further questions please don\u2019t hesitate to ask!
