This process, repeated around three times, ensures the clay is evenly distributed and ready for shaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moving on to forming the base, the goal is to create a foundation approximately one and a half centimeters thick. This thickness provides a good base to then trim later on when trimming a footing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using my thumbs, I shape the base before transitioning to pulling up the walls using a throwing sponge. Keeping the lower part of the wall relatively thick, as it allows for manipulation using a rib to achieve a desired curvature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next phase involves forming the lip at the top of the vessel by trimming the top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the lip, attention is turned to finishing off the exterior with a rib. This not only refines the surface but also ensures a smooth and visually appealing result. Finally, the process concludes with the trimming of the base, providing a polished foundation for the entire piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope you enjoyed this little video and as always Happy Potting!!!
