But ill leave that for you to decide \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Few things ill mention that I could not include in the video<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1: Throwing your clay onto the wheel head, from the back of the studio does not improve accuracy \ud83d\ude02&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2: Use Water: When bringing in the walls of the of the pot inwards towards the centre, its very important to use some water on your hands, this will allow the clay to spin freely under your hands. The friction created when pushing it inwards can cause the clay to dry out very fast. It\u2019s best to take your time, don\u2019t use too much water, but keep your hands a little wet before each attempt&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3: Know The Limitations Of The Clay: Thickness of the clay affects its ability to maintain its shape and structural integrity during the throwing process. Throwing odd shapes often involves pushing and pulling the clay in unconventional ways, which can put additional stress on the clay walls. Thicker clay walls provide more stability and are less prone to collapsing or distorting, Spending time with a particular clay gives you an idea as to how thick or thin you can throw your walls. Knowing its limitations as to when it may be getting too thin is a great way to minimise the risk of collapsing pots<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plasticity is another factor is understanding a clays limits. Different types of clay have varying levels of plasticity, which affect how easily they can be manipulated on the wheel. Highly plastic clays, such as porcelain, are very responsive and forgiving, allowing for intricate shaping and thin walls. Clays with more grog require more effort to achieve the desired shape but can hold their shape with a lot more strength<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We generally recommend a clay that is a good middle ground, most pottery supply shops will be able to point you in the right direction, depending on where you live and what clays are available \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
