To enhance the glaze\u2019s crystallisation, titanium has been added, resulting in a revised recipe with a total of 5.5% TiO2. Additionally, the amount of MnO2 was increased to 3%, and more RIO was introduced, to include 2.5% Fe203 in new batch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure optimal results, the glaze was left to settle for a couple of days after the adjustments were made. After this time, the specific gravity was measured and fine-tuned to 1.457. With this process complete, it time to dip the test tiles and test mugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the underglaze, a stable black gloss is used, providing a striking contrast to the orange overlay glaze. The intention is to create an interesting interplay of colour, with the hope of achieving more luminous crystal growth, some of which was achieved in the last test batch with the black glaze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, expectations remain high, with the potential for orange crystallization on top of the black glaze. This outcome, though not guaranteed, has the potential to produce a special and unique effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another technique we will use to enhance more crystal growth is to use two different holds in cool down one at 1150\u00b0C and another one at 1050\u00b0C .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a glaze firing we will be firing up shortly so we will post the results of the glaze the within the next coming
