Dive into the artistry of pottery with this captivating piece. Our ball vase, designed to highlight the beauty of floating glazes, is crafted with multiple joints and intricate textures, creating a dynamic canvas for the glaze to flow and pool, resulting in a stunning visual piece.
Here’s a glimpse into our process:
We start by meticulously hand-building the vase, ensuring no flat surfaces. This allows the glaze to interact freely, creating unique patterns and pools.
To ensure even drying and prevent cracks, we cover the vase with a plastic bag.
After it’s thoroughly dried, we proceed with bisque firing to harden the vase.
Next, we apply the glaze. The final glaze firing unveils the vase’s finish, where the colours and textures come to life.
