Our tried and true whacky wombat combo with the added new pink glaze to see how the three glazes would interact. Because the third glaze will add more material to the top of the vase I was careful not to dip the third glaze too much as I didn’t want the glaze crawling or running
Happy to say it all fired beautifully in the kiln and gave us a present surprise too. When i added the third pink glaze to the top I was unsure if the glaze would disappear under the green cover or maybe over power it. I was even more surprised to see it variegated amazingly with the green. You could almost say it looks a bit like a oil spot effect too
Also quick little tip. If you find your glaze buckets too small for pouring or dipping, Using a catch tray under your glaze bucket is a practical solution when the bucket size is insufficient for larger pieces. It helps prevent spillage, reduces waste, and allows for easy reuse of excess glaze.
