First thing we do is take 1000 grams of clay and place it on the wheel head. Begin the essential coning and centring process, ensuring a stable foundation for your creation, help the process by anchoring one of your arms on the side of the wheel head or into your body. Form the walls and create a base thickness of one and a half centimetres, using a throwing sponge to pull them up gracefully.
Again, Anchor your left hand on the wheel head’s side, providing a solid support for the clay. Bring your walls up to the desired height. Then, shape the pot from the inside out, sculpting a vessel with finesse.
Moving forward, focus on crafting a defined lip on the vase’s top and refining the shape using various ribs. Introduce a turning tool to trim the base for a clean, polished appearance. Employ a gouging tool to create lines on the wall, helping give highlights under the glaze.
Hope you enjoyed this post and as always Happy Potting!!! 🥳🥳
