This was an insane amount of clay to throw! But geez it was good to give a big piece of clay like this a go again, its good every once and in a while to challenge yourself not only to test your skills but also help improve yours skills and find new ones!
If you do want to do your own, take you time and don’t rush the process, large pieces take a lot longer to make then smaller ones, if you try centre the clay too quickly you can very easily throw it off centre and a larger mass will be harder to correct then a smaller one
Pay attention to the thickness of the walls. Large pieces can be prone to uneven thickness, so use your fingers to check and adjust as needed. Also consider using various pottery tools like ribs, shammy’s and sponges to refine the shape and surface of your piece.
Once again hope you enjoyed this post and as always Happy Potting!!! 🥳🥳
We will be back tomorrow with some more tips and ideas ❤️
