This is definitely one of the strangest vases that I have created! But definitely one of the most enjoyable ive made!
A few tips that I will mention for those who want to create their own. pinching the coils onto the outside of the pot with a wooden tool, allows the clay particles to bond together and give you stronger connection
You can use a little bit of slip on the outside of the vase before attaching the coils or score it like I did
It is also important to slow down the drying process with a particular vase like this due to their being excessive amounts of clay, creating thicker and thinner areas on the pot. When you are drying, this as make sure you cover it with a plastic bag over the course of its drying time.
If you find the top part of the vase gets dryer before the base, lightly spray it with a water gun! 😊
