In the depths of Parkville, there is a Public Art sculpture for all of us to marvel at. It’s a lovely addition to the neighbourhood, and its symbolism speaks powerfully on the role of women in society.

We came across this beautiful bronze sculpture by renowned Melbourne artist Michael Meszaros on our daily travels around Melbourne, and it sits outside the front entrance of Royal Women’s Hospital Parkville. This strong sculpture is revealing women’s vital contribution to life through nurturing of family and community.

The sculptures exquisite lines and shading beautifully portray this excellent metaphor for the importance of women within society.
