NEW GLAZE COMBO TEST TODAY 🤩🤩

Testing our new formulated green with the floating orange cover on this white bodied clay to see what the difference we see from the old version of the green. The method are used for glazing. This small vase was to coat the outside wall with the green glaze, and leave the inside of the vase completely bare.

This allows me to use the floating orange on the inside of the wall, using the white clay as a background. This gives the glaze a lighter effect and helps bring our the light orange colour, if it was over the top of a darker, glaze or darker clay body, you would not get the same colour, nor the saturation or . Darker clay bodies will make lighter glazes go darker.

Once I glaze the inside of the vase, I then dipped the top so that a little bit of the orange glaze would go onto the outside, this allows me to see how it reacts with the green glaze that is already there

We were pleasantly surprised when we got this little vase out of the kiln after firing. The first thing we noticed was just how bold, bright and airy the colours were. Very happy with how it turned out, and we will definitely be using this combo again

What do you think of this glaze combo? We would love to know your thoughts, so comment below what you think!
