A little vase for today but it’s not me thats going to throw it down!! 😛
Got my good brother in on this reel
As always I’ll put down some tips on how you can make your own:
*** Wobbly tops can be either a slightly off centre bit of clay but it can also be “clay” related, if the clay has a kink or imperfection in its texture that can throw the wall off when pulling up the walls of the pot, I’m gonna blame seamus for that one 😜
*** When throwing the walls up on a vase, take time to consider the shape you want the final piece to be, Do you want to add a bulbous shape? Maybe a more minimalist approach with some straight edges? Whatever your final design may be, the height of the walls will come down when you start giving it some form.
*** Once the vase has reached its desired form, you can trim the base to create a neat rim. This also helps with stability and when you will add a foot ring later. Let the vase dry slowly and evenly to avoid cracking. Cover it with a plastic bag and trim a foot ring a day or so afterwards. ☺️
Once again hope you enjoyed this post and as always Happy Potting!!! 🥳🥳
We will be back tomorrow with some more tips and ideas ❤️
