Step 1: Begin by marking out circles in the clay using a compass and cut these circles out of the clay.
Step 2: Place the cut clay pieces on a suitable mould and use a tool to compress them.

Step 3: Once the clay has dried to an appropriate level, the pieces should easily pop off the mould. Gently flip them onto a board for further work.
Step 4: Score both sides of the clay pieces and use clay slip to securely adhere the joins. This process creates a strong bond between the clay sections.
Step 5: After shaping the vase to your satisfaction, cut out four feet to enhance its stability and for easy glazing.
Step 6: Attach the feet to the bottom of the vase by scoring and slipping them into place.
Step 7: Mark a spot at the top of the vase and cut an opening for the neck of the vase.
Step 8: Cut out a strip of clay to create the vase’s neck. Score both sections and use clay slip to securely attach them.
Step 9: Attach the neck to the vase by going around the bottom and joining them securely. Shape the neck according to your artistic preference and refine it with a damp sponge.
Step 10: Create smooth and tidy joins between the inside of the vase and the neck to ensure a seamless transition.
Step 11: Cover the vase with a bag to protect it as it dries. This helps prevent cracks and ensures even drying.
Step 12: Once the vase is dry enough, place it in a bisque kiln and fire it to the appropriate temperature. This firing process prepares the vase for glazing.
Step 13: After the bisque firing, unleash your creativity by applying your favorite glazes to the vase.
