Look 👀 at this Beautiful New Pottery Glaze

Introduction:

Experimentation often leads to unexpected surprises, offering potters a window into new realms of development. In our recent kiln firing, we were pursuing a floating orange glaze but to our astonishment a floating blue glaze resulted instead. To make things even more exciting the new glaze was complemented with captivating orange iridescent sparkles. This combination, particularly when applied over a black base, has exceeded our expectations.

A Journey of Discovery:

Breakthroughs emerges from experimentation, pushing the boundaries of materials used, we believed we could enhance this recipe because of the glimpses of orange iridescent we achieved in the last testing attempt. 

Enhanced Splendour on a Black Canvas:

To intensify the visual impact of this test glaze, we experimented with applying it over a black base. The contrast between the vibrant blue, orange and deep black canvas gives great promise and stands testament to the magnificence of the pottery.

Anticipation for Future Glaze combos:

We eagerly await the opportunity to explore this glaze on future pieces, brimming with anticipation, of what each new application of glaze will bring.

Like many things in life you have to test, test, test in order to find the next beautiful glaze and we are constantly developing new glazes to test much like this one, which we have tested various times with not much success, but this time we have seemed to land on a beautiful glaze.

Which as a matter of fact although it is a floating blue glaze it is cobalt free, the chemical reaction of the ingredients has created a lovely blue glaze.

No doubt in the future we will develop more glazes with more colours for the world to see.
