Follow these steps to craft your own sprig-decorated vase:
1. **Prepare the Clay**: Roll out clay to 8mm thickness and using a template cut a large piece for the vase body.

2. **Shape the Body**: Wrap the clay around a cylinder mould covered in newspaper.
3. **Join the Seam**: Score and slip the seam, then remove the mould once the clay is dry enough.
4. **Add the Base**: Cut out a base from another sheet of clay, then score, slip, and attach it to the bottom of vase body.
5. **Attach Foot to Base**: Cut out a circle of clay and form a foot for the base of your vase, score slip and attach.
6. **Polish the Vase**: Use clay tools to refine the shape and all surfaces.
7. **Create Patterns**: Decorate near the top of the vase using a ball tool for intricate patterns.
8. **Add Sprig Moulds**: Press clay into sprig mould, then score, slip, and attach them to the vase body.
9. **Refine Details**: Polish and clean up the vase using brushes and clay tools.
Allow the vase to dry thoroughly, then bisque fire it before glazing for an exquisite finish.
