This particular glaze is one of our specially formulated glaze to work on dark clay bodies. This allows us to get the deep blue and green oil spot reaction which would be a slightly different colour on lighter bodies
All our glazes have been tested thoroughly so that they contain ZERO toxins, this is not only beneficial for our customers but also for our studio practises
When we first started up the studio again, we had a very big problem with being able to find glazes to suit the clay bodies we like to using but we also found that there wasn’t a great deal of midfire glazes to choose from. This led us to develop our glazes and learn about glaze chemistry which is a very over looked subject in the ceramic world. It allows us to have safe and usable glazes
We also extensively test new glazes every week to find new colours and new effects, this has been our goal for a number of years now and we will continue it well into the future
