1. Prepare the Clay: Start by cutting out a piece of clay. Using a mould press the clay into a cushion moulding the clay into shape.

2. Design Your Plate: Add a personal touch by using a stamp to create a unique design on the plate.

3. Attach the Feet: Carefully place and attach the feet to the base of the plate. Ensure they are securely connected by scoring and slipping the surfaces.

4. Refine the Details: Use a moulding tool to perfect the attachment points and create a seamless finish. It is easy to make stamps, once made make sure you bisque fire them before use.

5. Clean Up: Take a sponge and clean up any imperfections or excess clay from the plate.

6. Bisque Firing: Once the plate is thoroughly dry, proceed to bisque fire it in the kiln.

7. Underglaze Application: Now, it’s time to add some colour. Apply the underglaze to the bisque ware plate using only two coats. Be cautious with cobalt-based underglazes, as they can bubble if applied too thickly.

8. Glazing: When your footed plate is finished, proceed to glaze it. Dip the plate in clear gloss but do so for no more than 3-4 seconds. Avoid applying the clear transparent glaze too thickly, as it may come out a bit milky after firing.

By following these steps, you’ll have a stunning ceramic footed plate with a charming pansy pattern that’s sure to impress!

Happy potting! 🤗
