Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Roll out your clay to an 8mm thickness, creating a smooth, even slab.

2. Cut two circular pieces from the slab and mould them onto a plaster form, sculpting each one into a half round ball shape.
3. Trim, score, slip and join both halves together.
4. Use your pottery tools to meld the edges seamlessly. Smooth the surface with a moist sponge to ensure a flawless finish.
5. Fashion a swirl pattern on the surface of the vase using your fingers.
6. Cut out an opening at the top of vase.
7. Use your clay tools to tidy up the inside seams, then again use your fingers to deepen the swirl pattern.
8. Finish off all surfaces with a damp sponge.
9. Next cut out small balls of clay for the feet score slip and attach to base finish off with clay tools and damp sponge.
Allow the vase to dry thoroughly before subjecting it to a bisque firing.
Apply your favourite glazes, and then perform a final glaze firing to reveal the vase finish.
