I wanted to challenge myself the other day and throw a charger for the first time on the Pottery wheel. Because I’m quite familiar in throwing bowls and vases, The next step was the basically try something new.
Settled on creating a charger, which was a completely different experience to throwing plates which I have done before, the thing with plates is that they do have a very small base on them compared to a charger which I wasn’t prepared for pulling my wire through such a large volume of clay ended up being more challenged than what I initially thought it would be
But that’s Pottery! I’ll be definitely researching over the next couple of days how I can achieve this without creating disaster at the end. If you do have any tips for how I can do it in a better manner? I’d love to know in the comments! 🤗🤗😍
