Today, I’ll be crafting a dual-handle bowl. Initially, we cut out clay pieces and place the first one on a mould. Utilize tools to shape the bowl., proceed by outlining a foot ring, before scoring and applying slip, then attaching it to the vase’s bottom, ensuring a well-compressed joint.
Carefully flip the vase off the mould and encircle the lower part of the mould with the clay strips and join those strips. Use a clay knife to refine the form, trimming both sections of the vase. Confirm that all joints are compressed and smooth before scoring, slipping, and bringing the sections together.
Seamlessly join the sections by pinching with your fingers and further compress using clay tools. Strengthen the inside seam by adding a coil. Employ a roller to refine the vase’s shape. Finally, attach handles by using two strips of clay. The result? A beautifully finished dual-handle bowl.
