Using some reclaimed clay today

Throwing a little bowl today with some reclaim clay that is leftover from some hand building, we generally like to use all the clay up during the process to save ourselves having buckets full of reclaim clay 😄

I will give some things that you can do when you are throwing something like this which secondhand clay

**Make sure to give it a good wedge.

Reclaim clay has a tendency to have a lot of air bubbles in it unless you wedge it properly, when you have strips of clay leftover from hand building, you will throw them into ball and f give it a wedge but it’ll trap air in the process

Give it a good knead and make sure to watch for bubbles!!

If you do get bubbles mid-throw then use a potters needle to pop them as what i did in this video

**Rehydration: If the clay is too dry, it needs to be rehydrated. Break the clay into smaller pieces, place them in a bucket, and add water. Allow the clay to absorb water and become pliable. Knead and wedge the clay thoroughly to ensure uniform consistency.

Once again hope you enjoyed this post and Happy Potting!!! 🥳🥳

We will be back tomorrow with some more tips and ideas ❤️
