Farina SA

Signed Original Lithograph Trial Print

Farina SA is an original lithograph trial print by respected Australian artist Kenneth Jack, depicting the remote historic settlement of Farina in outback South Australia.

The composition captures the isolated character of the settlement through its scattered buildings, open landscape, railway structures and broad Australian sky. Jack’s restrained colours and confident draughtsmanship convey the dryness, distance and quiet atmosphere of the South Australian outback.

This example is identified as a trial print rather than a standard numbered edition. Trial prints are produced during the development of a lithograph and can preserve variations that differ from the final published edition. This gives the work additional interest for collectors of Kenneth Jack’s original prints.

The lithograph is hand-signed and titled “Farina SA” in pencil by Kenneth Jack on the lower margin.
