Royal Worcester Antique Pink and Gold Porcelain Dragon Handle Ewer Vase<\/p>\n

This impressive antique Royal Worcester porcelain ewer features a large applied dragon coiling dramatically around the neck and body. The dragon\u2019s long, arched tail forms the handle, giving the vase an elaborate sculptural appearance from every angle.<\/p>\n

The rounded pink porcelain body is decorated with a repeating scallop or wave-like pattern enriched with gold. Red and gold colouring highlights the dragon\u2019s head, claws, fins, spines and curling tail, while the shaped pouring rim completes the unusual Japanese-inspired design.<\/p>\n

The underside bears the green crowned circular C51 Royal Worcester factory backstamp, together with a worn secondary printed mark and additional handwritten or impressed production marks.<\/p>\n

Large Royal Worcester dragon-handled ewers are distinctive examples of the factory\u2019s ornamental porcelain. There is age-related rubbing and wear to the red and gold decoration, particularly along the dragon, raised details and rim. Minor surface marks, discolouration, manufacturing irregularities and expected shelf wear around the foot rim are also present.<\/p>\n
