A striking and generously sized example of vintage Remued Australian pottery, distinguished by its sculptural applied branch and colourful spiral centre. The unusual combination of mauve-purple, green, yellow, cream and brown gives this bowl excellent decorative presence.<\/p>\n

Produced by Premier Pottery in Preston, Melbourne, the shallow circular bowl features a raised branch-form decoration extending inward from the rim. At its centre is a vivid yellow spiral surrounded by layered green glaze, contrasting beautifully with the softly streaked mauve, purple and brown interior.<\/p>\n

Variations in glaze movement, colour and firing are characteristic of Remued pottery and give each surviving example its own individual appearance. This piece is incised Remued beneath the base, together with additional production markings.<\/p>\n

Remued became one of Australia\u2019s most recognisable art-pottery ranges and remains highly collectable for its flowing glazes, organic forms and distinctively Australian decorative character.<\/p>\n
