PRODUCT DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Vintage Cowaramup Pottery hand-thrown stoneware vase from Western Australia, dating from approximately the 1980s.<\/p>\n

This small rounded vase features a warm speckled cream glaze decorated with freely painted cobalt-blue floral motifs. Its narrow neck, flared rim and individually formed shape give it considerable character as an example of Australian studio pottery.<\/p>\n

The base carries the impressed Cowaramup Pottery studio mark. The original Cowaramup Pottery was operated by Gary and Sonja Nicol in Cowaramup, in Western Australia\u2019s Margaret River region. The attribution is to the pottery studio; an individual maker cannot be confirmed from the mark alone.<\/p>\n
